Just for the mere fact that Mama don't dance, and these songs actually make me do it, and--by default of their awesomeness--do it decently, there shall be THREE today!
"Planetary (GO!)" by My Chemical Romance--When first intro'ed to MCR, I didn't get it, but their last album digs in like an ear worm until there's no resisting. The fact that Gerard Way has the same color hair as my main character, Ethan, only sweetens the pot. He said he wrote this song to make people dance. S-U-CC-E-SS (...though it's more of a pogo dance with head bobbing; I used it as mood music while writing a party scene for Game Changer).
"Electric Feel" by MGMT--My husband says they sound like The Bee Gees. Um...no...but who can't dance to The Bee Gees, even if he's right???
"Time to Pretend" by MGMT--love, love, love. I admit addiction to this song.
Why "The REALLY Real Curious Crow"? Because I've been "The Curious Crow" since 1999, when I began crafting one-of-a-kind soft-sculptures. Yet, despite over 10 years of a web presence, there seem to be more "Curious Crow[s]" popping up all the time. Antique dealers, bloggers, painters, tchotchkes pushers, and gamers seem to gravitate to my handle without the good college-try of Googling. Accept no substitutes--do they have crow tracks tattooed on their foot? I do!. ;)
